jibbering
evening.
today was humid and i got to wear a just tshirt (and obviously legally required below waist garments) to town which hasnt happened for a fair few months!
today ive been listening, yet again too jamie t's new single almost on repeat. ahhh, how i love youth.
theres an unstoppable charm to this fella
im really excited for his second album! i actually believe it has the rare oppertunity to nearly match the brilliance of the debut album.
personally i think panic prevention is the best album of our geenrationish so far. its beautifully honest, manically rebellious and has such a depth and such a raw energy that i dont feel has been captured by many other people in the last ten years.
definately my favourite album!
if youve never given it a listen i definately reccomend it! although the original moment captured by the album upon its release and the time it caught and propelled forward have possibly moved on i still count every song as an undying classic.
today i went to jibbering art on floodgate street in digbeth, birmingham. i went with my good friend sinead. its a really cool space with two floors, currently being used as exhibition space but the decks above the stairs in the left hand corner suggest they throw some mean parties too.
the current exhibiton was a hectic fusion of street and gallery art. the conjunction of these two usual opposites added to the freshness and the intruige of the pieces. it seemed to feature work from local and non local artists, mostly aerosol and acrylic pieces.
my favourite were the franics bacon-esque almost spaceman portraits, by french artist/rapper/actor/editor JAYBO.

seriously! look at these beauties, its like bacon stabbing picasso in the face with a firework, i bloody love it!
they were really wack. id really like to try out some aerosol one day! stencils!
id definately reccomend checking it out, even if it was just for the soun installation piece. theres something very unnerving about walking up a stairwell surrounded by hanging spraycans each containing a small speaker and shooting out a spraying noise. watch you back kids.
heres the website, http://www.jibberingart.co.uk/ , and thats the line steppers exhibiton, but its only on till the end of may, so snatch up tthe oppertunity and bowl down to eastside for some sun and wiggy wasp art.

resurections
so i finally fell asleep this morning at six, no thanks to blaring sun from about four am onwards. how is it birds can get up so early and pierce through my double glazing?
now haven't used this in ages and ive decided im going to try and resurect it! no mean feat this blogging business. im hoping to shower it with music, art and general writings but im not sure how consistant i can be! i am however, slightly inadequately equipped at the moment, with no printer, scanner or decent camera, so getting a stream of work to share might take me a few weeks. i think im going to have to stop spending all my money on rosé, taxis, malboro lights and cheapo clothes yes?
im thinking ill ease into it with a simple list.
i really like lists. i think they are a store for knowledge or thoughts or something, just incase i forget my five top bridges in birmingham or something.
im not keen on orders in list though, none of this 10,9,8,7,countdown business, prioritising is extremely difficult!

its been a turbulant start to 2009, not only for me, but seemingly for the entire population!
its been full of birthdays, shit being stolen, moral decisions, torn hearts, rapey gits, nicknamed one night lovers, strangers houses, new friends, lateness, dressing down and general hustlllllin, oh and most dramatically! breakups!
what on earth is going on?
a mate suggested maybe its because everyone has became fat over christmas?
or maybe its the daunting idea of spending another entire year in your tiring relationship??
fair enough i suppose if we see the year as a chance to start afresh - but should we not at least wait untill its above 0 degrees to leave our lovers in the rain alone?
hair dilemma;
- if i get this wedge haircut, and awaydays comes out next month and gets sketted, will it reflect badly on me?
also there was a fire at the co-op today!
feadz @ chicks dig jerks this saturday!
feadz is bangin, time to get lowwwwwwwwww
meowpow, enjoy the end of january

bomb the busses
invisible ice and my boots are worn out because the bus fair's too high?
still perhaps poor times could be just what england needs,
maybe if we can no longer rely on our wallets then perhaps we shall depend more upon each other, because when it boils down to it, thats all we have.
this morning we found a dead fox in the garden.
although i doubt my dog killed it if he doesent even get up off the bloody chair when i get home
wow, the luring beauty of a fox corpse
